Arabic form-I verbs with their past vowel u (فَعُلَ (faʕula)) and their non-past vowel u (يَفْعُلُ (yafʕulu)). In both cases, the vowel in question is the last vowel in the stem, which varies from verb to verb. This is a relatively common pattern, used almost exclusively for intransitive stative verbs.
