Appendix:Mao word lists

The following comparative word lists of Mao languages are from Küspert (2015).[1]

English, Amharic, and Oromo glosses are provided, along with four Koman languages that Seze, Hozo, and Ganza are in close contact with. The Koman-speaking area is located just to the west of the Omotic Mao-speaking area.

The word lists below cover the following seven languages spoken in Mao Komo Special Woreda in Benishangul Gumuz Region, and Begi and K’ondala Woredas in Western Wollega Zone, Oromia Region.
