Category:Polish dated terms

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Polish terms that are no longer fashionable and thus are anachronistic, but still sometimes in use, especially by older speakers.

To categorize into this category, use {{tlb|pl|dated}} (template tlb, not lb), which should typically be placed next to the headword.

If the term is merely a variant (alternative form) of a term in general use, it should be categorized instead in [[Category:Polish dated forms]] (using {{dated form of|pl|...}} or {{dated spelling of|pl|...}}). If only some senses of the term are dated, it should be categorized instead in [[Category:Polish terms with dated senses]], using {{lb|pl|dated}} (template lb instead of tlb), which should typically be placed next to the individual sense.

Dated terms should be distinguished from archaic terms, which are no longer in use (except occasionally for special effect) but are still sometimes encountered in older literature and are typically recognized by native speakers; and obsolete terms, which are no longer in use at all and are not usually recognized by native speakers.

The following label generates this category: dated (alias old-fashioned)edit. To generate this category using one of these labels, use {{lb|pl|label}}.

In addition, the following sense-dependent label generates this category: dated senseedit. To generate this category using this label, use {{tlb|pl|label}}.

  • Category:Polish dated forms: Polish forms that are no longer fashionable and thus are anachronistic, but still sometimes in use, especially by older speakers; and serve as alternative forms of the same terms in general use.
