Etymology
[edit]Cognate with Proto-Kam-Sui *k-xiːn¹ (“arm”), Proto-Tai *qeːnᴬ (“arm”) (whence Thai แขน (kɛ̌ɛn, “arm”)) (Schuessler, 2007).
Alternatively, possibly from Proto-Sino-Tibetan *k(w/y)an (“shoulder”).
