Usage notes

[edit]
  • It is found together with tamo in comparative sentences, similarly as jako... tako.... The word jamo as well as jedy and other adverbs on "j-" which aren't even attested were already rare in Old Czech and replaced by "k-" adverbs – which served as interrogative as well as relative adverbs. The only exceptions are kak(o), which was eventually replaced by jak(o) in modern Czech, and jelik(o), which got a different meaning as jelikož.
