-і́ти or -іти (-íty or -ity)

  1. Suffix added to adjectives to form intransitive verbs that describe having or gaining the property of said adjective.
    черво́ний (červónyj, red) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎червоні́ти (červoníty, to redden, to turn red, to blush)
    вагі́тний (vahítnyj, pregnant) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎вагі́тніти (vahítnity, to become pregnant)
    ра́дий (rádyj, glad) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎раді́ти (radíty, to become glad, to rejoice)
    хво́рий (xvóryj, ill) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎хворі́ти (xvoríty, to be ill)
  2. Suffix added to nouns to form intransitive verbs that describe the appearance or production of said noun.
    піт (pit, sweat) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎поті́ти (potíty, to sweat)
    шум (šum, noise) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎шумі́ти (šumíty, to make noise)
    о́сінь (ósinʹ, autumn) + ‎-іти (-ity) → ‎осені́ти (oseníty, to approach (of autumn))
