Etymology tree
Probably a back-formation of 𑀉𑀝𑁆𑀞𑀸𑀯𑁂𑀇 (uṭṭhāvei, “to raise, lift”, transitive verb), from Sanskrit उत्था॑पयति (útthāpayati), from the root उत्था (utthā, “to stand up”), from उद्- (ud-, “up”) + स्था (sthā, “to stand”, root).
Compare Sanskrit उत्ति॑ष्ठति (úttiṣṭhati, “to get up”), whence 𑀉𑀘𑁆𑀘𑀺𑀝𑁆𑀞𑀇 (ucciṭṭhaï).
