𑀲𑀼𑀯𑀁𑀡𑀕𑀺𑀭𑀻𑀢𑁂 𑀅𑀬𑀧𑀼𑀢𑀲 𑀫𑀳𑀸𑀫𑀸𑀢𑀸𑀡𑀁 𑀘 𑀯𑀘𑀦𑁂𑀦 𑀇𑀲𑀺𑀮𑀲𑀺 𑀫𑀳𑀸𑀫𑀸𑀢𑀸 𑀆𑀭𑁄𑀕𑀺𑀬𑀁 𑀯𑀢𑀯𑀺𑀬𑀸 𑀳𑁂𑀯𑀁 𑀘 𑀯𑀢𑀯𑀺𑀬𑀸

suvaṃṇagirīte ayaputasa mahāmātāṇaṃ ca vacanena isilasi mahāmātā ārogiyaṃ vataviyā hevaṃ ca vataviyā

From Suvarṇagiri, at the word of the prince (āryaputra) and of the Mahāmtitras, the Mahāmātras at Isila must be wished good health and be told this:

devāṇaṃpiye āṇapayati

Devānāṁpriya commands (as follows).

𑀅𑀥𑀺𑀓𑀸𑀦𑀺 𑀅𑀠𑀸𑀢𑀺𑀬𑀸𑀦𑀺 𑀯𑀲𑀸𑀦𑀺 𑀬 𑀳𑀓𑀁 […] 𑀲𑀓𑁂

adhikāni aḍhātiyāni vasāni ya hakaṃ […] sake

More than two and a half years (have passed) since I (am) a lay-worshipper (upasaka).

𑀦𑁄 𑀢𑀼 𑀔𑁄 𑀩𑀸𑀠𑀁 𑀧𑁆𑀭𑀓𑀁𑀢𑁂 𑀳𑀼𑀲𑀁 𑀏𑀓𑀁 𑀲𑀯𑀙𑀭𑀁

no tu kho bāḍhaṃ prakaṃte husaṃ ekaṃ savacharaṃ

But indeed I had not been very zealous for one year.

line 2-3

𑀲𑀸𑀢𑀺𑀭𑁂𑀓𑁂 𑀢𑀼 𑀔𑁄 𑀲𑀁𑀯𑀙𑀭𑁂𑀁
𑀬𑀁 𑀫𑀬𑀸 𑀲𑀁𑀖𑁂 𑀉𑀧𑀬𑀻𑀢𑁂 𑀩𑀸𑀠𑀁 𑀘 𑀫𑁂 𑀧𑀓𑀁𑀢𑁂

sātireke tu kho saṃvachareṃ
yaṃ mayā saṃghe upayīte bāḍhaṃ ca me pakaṃte

But indeed a year and somewhat more (has passed) smce I have visited the Saṁgha and have been very zealous.

𑀇𑀫𑀺𑀦𑀸 𑀘𑀼 𑀓𑀸𑀮𑁂𑀦 𑀅𑀫𑀺𑀲𑀸 𑀲𑀫𑀸𑀦𑀸 𑀫𑀼𑀦𑀺𑀲𑀸 𑀚𑀁𑀩𑀼𑀤𑀻𑀧𑀲𑀺
𑀫𑀺𑀲𑀸 𑀤𑁂𑀯𑁂𑀳𑀺

iminā cu kālena amisā samānā munisā jaṃbudīpasi
misā devehi

But men in Jambudvīpa, being during that time unmingled, (are now) mingled with the gods.

𑀧𑀓𑀫𑀲 𑀳𑀺 𑀇𑀬𑀁 𑀨𑀮𑁂

pakamasa hi iyaṃ phale

For this is the fruit of zeal.
