Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek συλλογή (sullogḗ, “collection”), from συλλέγω (sullégō, “to collect”), from σύν (συλ-) (sún (sul-), “with”) + λέγω (légō, “in sense collect”).
For sense "mediation" inherited from Koine Greek συλλογή (sullogḗ, “concentration of thoughts”) from Ancient Greek συλλογή (sullogḗ).
