@Vahagn_Petrosyan: I've seen something similar on an Armenian page, but basically I want to hide all the bad etymologies here under a kind of dropdown, what's the template for that?

Also, here's a compilation of the words I've found so far that are "related" to entires mentioned on this page currently:

Georgian-Mingrelian ქვირა (kvira, “foal, colt”);
Tusheti Georgian ქვირანაჸი (kviranaʾi, “foal, colt; horse”);
Saingilo Georgian კურია (ḳuria, “foal, colt”), კურიჲ (ḳuriy), კუ̈ც (ḳüc); კურიჰკაჲ (ḳurihḳay) (← Armenian քուռակ (kʻuṙak) ?);
Kartli, Kakheti Georgian ქურა (kura, “a kind of goat with small ears; hornless sheep”);
Tusheti Georgian ქურაცხვარი (kuracxvari, “a kind of sheep with small ears”), ქურათხა (kuratxa, “a kind of goat with small ears”);
Kartli, Imereti Georgian ქვიქვირი (kvikviri, “horse's lower lip; foal's voice”);
Georgian კურო (ḳuro, “bull”);
Georgian ურა (ura, “colt, foal”), Mingrelian ურა (ura, “colt”) (probably not related?);
Racha, Chveneburebi Georgian კური-კური (ḳuri-ḳuri, “to call turkey”);
Meskheti Georgian კურიკაჲ (ḳuriḳay, “folt, colt in children's language”) (← Armenian քուռակ (kʻuṙak) ?)

I have no idea what to do with all of this, I thought a simple borrowing from Persian کره‎ (korre, “colt, foal”), but this is getting pretty complicated...

@კვარია: Many of these are probably from various stages and derivatives of the Iranian root *kur- which gave words meaning "boy", "child", "colt, foal" and the like, in some case mediated by Armenian. Each case has to be studied separately. For now you can simply say compare Persian کره‎‎ (korre).

For hiding undeserving etymologies you could do what I did at կորիւն (koriwn), which by the way is similar to the words discussed here. @Fay Freak knows a way of hiding too many references in the ===References=== section, but I don't remember what it was. Vahag (talk) 19:47, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

It has been hid exactly the same way in which you hide erratic etymologies. Seen in كپنك and إمر, and likewise in the quotations section in شَيْرَة (šayra). Fay Freak (talk) 20:32, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

@Fay_Freak: Wait, Arabic كُرَّز‎ (kurraz, “kurraz”) are related to Persian کره (kurra, “colt, foal”), and those themselves are probably related to Arabic زُرَّق (zurraq, “falcon”)? Doesn't that mean that similarity with Proto-Georgian-Zan *ʒ₁er- is accidental? კვარია (talk) 11:30, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
