[edit]From dân chủ (“democracy (n.), democratic (adj.)”) + tập trung (“‘to concentrate’ → ‘to centralize’”) from Chinese 民主 and 集中 respectively in 民主集中制 (dân chủ tập trung chế, literally “democratically centralized system”).
Doublet of tập trung dân chủ, from the same Chinese term yet following the Vietnamese head-modifier word order.
