From Proto-Albanian *tšūtja, from *kju-t-jo, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱey- (to set in motion) (compare Ancient Greek σεύω (seúō, to chase (away), rush, incite), Latin cieō).[1] Doublets include qoj and ndërsej.
