User:Benwing for bureaucrat

[edit]

Nomination: I hereby nominate User:Benwing as a local English Wiktionary Bureaucrat. He has been an active admin since 2015 and has put in frankly incredible work to improve the project. We currently only have 2 active bureaucrats, so it'd be very helpful to have another one.

  4. Support, assuming that only one of the accounts will be give bureaucrat status. I would suggest removing a mention of the second account, since the status applies to the account, not the person. Andrew Sheedy (talk) 20:31, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    @Megathonic, @Benwing2, I added the second account because at WT:Administrators it’s listed as well, but I’m fine with the removal. AG202 (talk) 20:48, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Passes 52-0–0 (100% unanimous support with 50+ votes, amazing). Major congratulations @Benwing!!! Pinging all bureaucrats to make the change: @Paul G, Hippietrail, SemperBlotto, EncycloPetey, Ruakh, Chuck Entz, Surjection AG202 (talk) 00:02, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations Benwing! This is only the second time in Wiktionary's history that more than 50 users have supported a vote.[1] In my view, the result shows not only how well-respected Benwing is, but also that we have a vibrant, strong and healthy community here on Wiktionary right now. Thank you! Benwing2 (talk) 00:57, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  1. ^ The other vote was Wiktionary:Votes/2010-04/Voting policy, and that was far from unanimously supported!
