[edit]Borrowed from Arabic مَاسُورَة (māsūra, “bobbin, reel”), from the passive participle of the verb أَسَرَ (ʔasara, “to bind”).

- bobbin, spool, a cylinder or spindle around which threads, wires or cables are wound
- spout, a tube or duct through which a liquid, especially water, is poured or discharged
- masura, a unit of measure of volumetric flow equivalent approximatively to 4.5 L/min
- (anatomy) duct, a vessel that conveys lymph or secretions such as tears, bile or saliva
