[edit]From a conflation of two verbs:
- Proto-Slavic *borìti (“to battle, wrestle”), from *bòrti.
- Old Polish burzyć (“to stir up”), from Proto-Slavic *buriti, from *buřa. By surface analysis, burza + -yć.

- Tak żniwiarze zęni ze ino burzyło w polu. ― The harversters were reapsing in such a way such that they were just churning in the field.
