- female equivalent of -etto
Usage notes
[edit]- As well as indicating females, -etta is also used with inanimate nouns ending in -a, such as boteca (“shop, store”) → botechetta (“small shop”).
- This suffix is not to be confused with -ita (“inhabitant, adherent”).
