Etymology
[edit]刈 is an alternative form of 割 (koah, “to cut”) in Taiwanese Hokkien. The yìbāo reading in Mandarin, which is rare, is an orthographic borrowing from Hokkien, while the much more common guàbāo is directly borrowed from Hokkien.
