Usage notes
[edit]Many erroneously interpret this term as 肉 (ròu, “meat”) + 夾/夹 (jiā, “to sandwich; to press from both sides”) + 饃/馍 (mó, “bun”), i.e. “the meat sandwiches the bun”, which is obviously the opposite of reality.
