Borrowed from Arabic مَا بَيْنَ (mā bayna, literally what is in-between).

مابین (mabeyin) (definite accusative مابینی (mabeyini), plural مابینلر (mabeyinler))

  1. space or place, opening, interval, room, between two or among many things
    Synonyms: آرا (ara), آرالق (aralık), بوشلق (boşluk), خلال (hilal), مسافه (mesafe)
  2. room or suite of rooms in a Turkish house located between the haremlik and the selamlik
