[edit]From Ottoman Turkish اوغلدی (uġuldu, “a humming, buzzing noise”),[1] from Ottoman Turkish اوغلمق (uġlamak, “to hum, to buzz”), from Ottoman Turkish اوغو (uġu, “onomatopoeic for; a hum, buzz, humming or buzzing sound”),[2] morphologically uğul + -tu.
