[edit]Equivalent to stock + -en (plural ending).
Noun
[edit]stocken
German
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Germanic *stukkōną (“to stop, stick”). Though a surface analysis as Stock (“stick, broken-off twig”) + -en (“infinitive suffix”), as suggested by Pfeiffer, is not exactly correct, said analysis does trace back to the same root as *stukkōną.
