Usage notes
[edit]The imperatives are not used exactly to express an order, but rather to keep contact or get into contact with the listener, for example "Poslyš, Petře, chtěl jsem se tě zeptat, …". The verb poslouchat (“listen”) is used to express an order connected with perceiving with ears.[1]
