Particularly: “The original entry stated that it is "Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese (SV: hiểm)", however, this seems to be a misunderstanding, as hiếm is only the Nôm reading of , which does not indicate that they have any semantic connection. Yet, listed as one potential origin of the word in question by Anthony Trần Văn Kiệm, the character 儉 could also be a good match, due to its strong relationship in meaning.”
