[edit]
  • IPA(key): [ˈvɒjdɒʃaːɡ]
  • Hyphenation: Vaj‧da‧ság
  • Rhymes: -aːɡ

Proper noun

[edit]

Vajdaság

  1. Vojvodina (a northern autonomous province of Serbia)
    Synonym: Vajdaság Autonóm Tartomány

Usage notes

[edit]

Hungarian speakers from this region normally use this name without the definite article “a” (unless required by other syntactic reasons), while those from within Hungary tend to use it with this article. Both solutions are acceptable but the version without the article is more welcome for locals.[1][2][3]
