Just to be silly, here is a belated "welcome..."
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- Wiktionary Tutorial
- How to edit a page
- How to start a page
- Our format guidelines
- Criteria for inclusion
- Wiktionary Sandbox (a safe place for testing syntax)
- What Wiktionary is not
- FAQ
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Connel MacKenzie T C 05:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Are you sure this shouldn't be at bat a round instead?
- No, google definitely likes "bat around" better. (see the discussion at Talk:bat around Brholden 06:27, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
BTW, I've taken a pass at the formatting of your multi-word entries. Some time back, the discussion for headings was that the word "phrase" is just too obvious to include in headings.
- OK - that's fine. The word "phrase" does add a little something though. Brholden 06:27, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Keep up the good work - please keep the baseball terms coming! There are only about a thousand more... :-) --Connel MacKenzie T C 05:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks - I've been trying to capture the natural language that I hear or have heard. Brholden 06:27, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
