      Senjin wa darashi ga nai koto wa nihonjin dōyō, tsukeagaru koto wa nihonjin ijō, shinajin wa kanetame jinshu da, gyōshōnin no naka de sake demo nondeiru shinajin o mita koto ga nai.
      The Koreans are similar to the Japanese in their festiveness, and tend to get carried away even easier than us, but the Chinese are a stingy race. I have never seen a Chinese man drinking among pedlars.
