Etymology
[edit]A sentence-final emphatic assertive particle. From a netizen transformation of 有沒有/有没有 (yǒu méi yǒu, “to have or not have; is there ...?”). Popularized through a post on Renren entitled 學法語的人你傷不起啊! / 学法语的人你伤不起啊! (“People learning French, you can't take it!”)
