Etymology
[edit]敵本 (tekihon) + 主義 (-shugi, “-ism”), literally “Tekihon-ism”, where 敵本 (tekihon) is from Akechi Mitsuhide's battle call during the Honnoji Incident, 1582:
- 敵は本能寺にあり!
- Teki wa Honnōji ni ari!
- The enemy (Oda Nobunaga) awaits at Honnō-ji!
