[edit]Inherited from Early Assamese মিছা (micha), from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀫𑀺𑀘𑁆𑀙𑀸 (micchā), from Sanskrit মিথ্যা (mithyā), from Proto-Indo-European *mēwdʰ- (“to complain or care about something”). Cognate with Sylheti ꠝꠤꠍꠣ (misá), Bengali মিছা (micha).
