    Borrowed from Classical Persian بَچَّه (bačča), from Proto-Iranian *wacáh, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *watsás, from Proto-Indo-European *wétos + *-ós. Doublet of बछड़ा (bachṛā, calf, child, boy).
