  1. From Proto-Mongolic *eke, compare Buryat эхэ (exe), Kalmyk эк (ek).
  2. Perhaps related to Proto-Turkic *eke (older sister, aunt), and so a possible Doublet of эгч (egč, older sister). (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?)
