- 1926-1933, Anton Hansen Tammsaare, chapter XXXV, in Tõde ja õigus (Truth and Justice)[1], page 358:
- «Sa valetad!» käratas Andres. «Sa teadsid väga hästi, et mina kõiges kurt ja pime olin, ja sina ise aitasid mind nõnda hoida, mängisid lastega minu vastu kokku. Sa valetad praegu ja oled mulle ikka valetad.
- “You're lying!” scolded Andres. "You knew very well that I was deaf and blind in everything, and you yourself helped to keep me that way, you played the children against me. You're lying now, and you're still lying to me.
