Etymology

Feminine form of jmj ḥꜣt ((one) being in front or earlier in time; anterior (one)), formed with the addition of the feminine ending -t to the nisba jmj. Equivalent to jmj ((one) being in) +‎ -t (feminine ending) +‎ ḥꜣt (front).
