[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish هر حالده (her ḥalde),[1][2][3] from Persian هر (har) + Arabic حَال (ḥāl),[4][5] equivalent to her (“each, every”) + hâl (“state, condition”) + -de (locative suffix).
