[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish بر آراده (bir arada),[1][2] from بر (bir) and آرا (ara),[3][4] equivalent to bir (“a, one, indefinite determiner”) + ara (“space, place between two things, interval”) + -da (locative suffix).
