Inherited from Ottoman Turkish بر آراده (bir arada),[1][2] from بر (bir) and آرا (ara),[3][4] equivalent to bir (a, one, indefinite determiner) +‎ ara (space, place between two things, interval) +‎ -da (locative suffix).
