I want to chat with you more because sometimes I make erroneous changes that I want to change and I don't think I can change the mistakes by myself.

Right now I have an issue in the page that I just created about the word: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Chincoteague_pony

It should have been "Chincoteague Pony" instead of "Chincoteague Pony".

I think this minor thing about "Chincoteague Pony" instead of "Chincoteague pony" is not bothering anyways, there is no correct way. Either way is correct.. no need change on this word, Equinox. I guess. The Dictionary Man20 (talk) 22:50, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, you can't just copy definitions from other sites like Webster, due to copyright law. Equinox ◑ 23:50, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

Hmm, sorry.. I took it from https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cobalt%20green (sense 2), I "thought" modifying the definition would make it possible to abide by the copyright law.

Every time you create a new page on here, it gives you the links at the bottom of the editor screen, where it says: "By clicking the Publish changes button, you are agreeing to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license."
Exception: because Wikipedia has the same free licence that we do, you can generally reuse text from Wikipedia without changing it. Equinox ◑ 09:42, 10 December 2022 (UTC)

Copying from Wikipedia

You should be careful about taking stuff from Wikipedia - we don't count it for WT:CFI and it's filled with protologisms that are unattestable. Vininn126 (talk) 23:32, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

It's also not a good idea to plagiarize, which is what you're doing at the moment, as it suggests you're not putting much thought into things. The first line of a Wikipedia article might be a good introduction to a topic, but it frequently doesn't give as much information as a good definition would. For example, your definition of Cyrus–Beck algorithm is on the same level as defining tiger as "a kind of animal". Not enough. Theknightwho (talk) 23:39, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
