Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- Wiktionary Tutorial
- How to edit a page
- How to start a page
- Our format guidelines (nicknamed "ELE")
- Criteria for inclusion (nicknamed "CFI")
- Wiktionary Sandbox (a safe place for testing syntax)
- What Wiktionary is not

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!
Format
[edit]See Wiktionary:Entry layout explained. auriferous had a 'related terms' heading at level 2; level 2 is reserved for Language headings by convention. The edit summary had more details and 'autoformat' added an RFC template with a message. Trying to format in exactly the way Autoformat expects it is hard, that why we have the autoformat bot. - Aha, that page explains it all. Thanks for the tip! Nihiltres 20:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Capitalization errors (e.g. from FT) are given as faithfully as possible. It is fine to add "[sic]" though. --Connel MacKenzie 03:06, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I didn't know that. Where should I add "[sic]"? I can't find any information on this in WT:QUOTE. Nihiltres 20:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
