interwiki links
[edit]You don't need to add interwiki links: there is a bot that does that.—msh210℠ 22:45, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that bots usually do this. However, sometimes they make mistakes or do this not in time, so I just decided to make sure that everything is OK - NickK 22:56, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- Of course that's fine! If you have time for it you might also add some Ukrainian and Russian translations to English entries where they are missing. -- Gauss 23:57, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
Dutch IPA
[edit]Hey, thank you for all your good work on Dutch work recently. While the vast majority of your additions is totally fine, I wanted to give a quick heads-up regarding the IPA pronunciations you added: these were off in some cases, and I ended up doing some cursory corrections on about 20-30 of them (more work may still be necessary to get everything right). Some examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8; as you can see, particularly stress placement and vowels are points to pay attention to. Often the audio files which exist for a majority of entries already will be helpful as a reference, as they tend to be of high quality. — Mnemosientje (t · c) 11:21, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Mnemosientje Hi and thanks a lot for reviewing my contributions! I did make some mistakes indeed, sorry for that. My only question is: is splitting into syllables (as you added in 3) mandatory? I do see many entries without this, so sometimes I copied from other entries and thought it would be fine. I also remember that for ouderengeneeskunde I copied a piece of IPA from kindergeneeskunde, was that one wrong as well? — NickK (talk) 23:41, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- kindergeneeskunde indeed had wrong stress placement, I've fixed it. As for splitting into syllables, it's not really strictly needed imo, I just tend to do it personally. — Mnemosientje (t · c) 08:18, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
