Still finding my way round - I'm guessing that this is where people can contact me.
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! Thryduulf 21:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
re message on my talk page, I've reapplied the formatting corrections I made. The entry layout at Wiktionary is very rigid by comparison to other projects - see Wiktionary:Entry layout explained (WT:ELE). A lot of the content comes from templates which also add categories, hence the order they appear in at the bottom of the page, which doesn't matter. Thryduulf 21:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Widsith and I have made comments on the talk page regarding you question of IPA pronunciation. You may also find the page Wiktionary:Pronunciation and its links to be helpful, as well as Wiktionary:International Phonetic Alphabet and Wiktionary:English pronunciation key. --EncycloPetey 21:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Regarding your comments about the order of categories, you might be interested in the discussion about grouping different types of categories I've just started. Your comments would be welcome at Wiktionary:Beer parlour#Grouping types of categories. Thryduulf 15:27, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for the heads-up about that. I'd not spotted that Balderdash and Piffle was on again, I enjoyed the first series. Unfortunately I don't have time to take advantage of it now as I'm away from the internet all weekend, and quite possibly similarly next weekend. Post a note about this at Wiktionary:Tea room to let more people know about it. Thryduulf 22:12, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the metalworking noun senses at smelt, theses were already there when I found the page (I just did formatting). I agree they are a bit dubious, so I've marked them for verification - see Wiktionary:Requests for verification#smlet.
As for the categorisation, if you haven't already made a comment there (I've not checked yet) please could you express your support there. If it is to happen I suspect that is the only place the devs will look to see if there is community enthusiasm. Thryduulf 20:06, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the nice resulting entry. DCDuring TALK 19:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
