Proto-Mordvinic, Proto-Mari and Proto-Ugric

Hey, I see you've switched to Uralic languages. There are a few issues I'd like to raise:

First of all, notation. Excuse me if I'm wrong, but it seems you're taking the notation presented in one paper without actually looking into what the characters signify and how to resolve these with the other sources on the language. For instance, Proto-Mari has short vowels ĭŭ in Aikio's notation, but the Etymologisches Wörterbuch des Tscheremissischen has a completely different notation. Personally, I don't know a lot on the topic, so I can't really help (although @Tropylium may), but this needs to be thought out carefully. I've seen you use a notation different from the agreed-upon standard for Proto-Permic, so it may be best to first create something like WT:APRM and then start actively adding entries.

Secondly, I'm not sure Proto-Ugric is a language we really want entries in. It's very controversial and it's highly dubious that there are actually any forms different from Proto-Finno-Ugric (handled as Proto-Uralic here on Wiktionary) that are ancestral to both Hungarian and Khanty-Mansi. So I would suggest you to be cautious here, too. Thadh (talk) 17:54, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

There's no well-established-and-agreed Proto-Ugric reconstruction, so I would advise against creating any Proto-Ugric entries for where we do have a Proto-Uralic or Proto-Finno-Ugric entry to list data under.

Also, most of your Proto-Mordvinic entries seem to use an incorrect reconstruction scheme. Note that the forms that Keresztes (not Bereczki!!) 1986 lists as "urmd." is not Proto-Mordvinic, but a stage of pre-Proto-Mordvinic — the strict P-Mo. is what he calls "altmordwinische" and lists immediately before that, e.g. "*pizə < urmd. *pīzə̑" should be at *pizə and not your *pīzə̑. --Tropylium (talk) 16:40, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

You're jumping from one language to another across the entire Eurasian continent all in one evening. Are you sure you know enough about the language you edit to not make a mess? I'm not.
