Saluton Gilward!

Bonvenon en nia vortara projekto. You're doing a great job adding Esperanto words. Where are your from and for how long have you been speaking Esperanto? Just curious... I know some Esperanto myself and I have learned it a few years ago, but I never got round to start adding Esperanto terms. I did add a good number of translations though. It's good to start seeing those red links become blue little by little thanks to you.

You will probably be pleased to know there is also an Esperanto counterpart to en.wiktionary.org: eo.wiktionary.org. It's not a very active project yet though.

Hi Polyglot! I am from Austria and I started to learn Esperanto in 1991.

Hi Gilward,

I added a table with the Correlatives to the category you created for it. Could you have a look at it? I translated the column and row headers from Dutch to English and I'm not entirely happy with them. Maybe you know how to improve them. Polyglot 08:45, 20 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Nice work! I think I can't do it better.

Official categories

[edit]

Welcome! It's a great effort that you are putting into the Esperanto material. I see too that you have set up a series of official numbered categories for these words. Would it be possible to add one or two sentences to each of these category pages to describe just what it means to be in that category? Most of us are not Esperantists, and official numbered categories will be completely meaningless to us. Thanks. Eclecticology 17:48, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Please don't use the edit summary "Removing all content from page" as that triggers the anti-vandal bots, something fierce. --Connel MacKenzie 20:28, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! --Connel MacKenzie 20:28, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please - no redirects

[edit]

Also, please note that um- should be a completely separate entry from -um-. Redirects such as that are strongly discouraged in the main namespace. --Connel MacKenzie 20:34, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

category:Esperanto endings vs. category:Esperanto suffixes

[edit]

Hello there, I just wanted to let you know that the standard category naming here would be category:Esperanto suffixes not category:Esperanto endings. I've started a thread on WT:BP on this topic if you want to discuss further with the community. Regards. --Williamsayers79 12:03, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lists like this should be in an appendix, like Appendix:Animals in Esperanto. Feel free to make an article for that. Mglovesfun (talk) 21:12, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

List of similar words

[edit]

Hi, this List of similar words with the same meaning in French and Italian should not be in the main namespace, so it was deleted, but i created instead: Appendix:List of similar words with the same meaning in French and Italian because i thought the information itself should be kept. But it seems there will be a discussion about them too. Mutante 09:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC) (btw: added merde <-> merda)Reply
