Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page.
Did you know that Wiktionary can be adapted to fit your style? Go have a look at your personal preference page (nicknamed “PREFS”)! In particular, you can choose the option to show hidden categories, which will be of great help if you are looking for work to do.
Again, welcome! --EncycloPetey 22:17, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with you in many ways, but just imagine what a mess we would have if we were to add more specific definitions to English entries, just to make it comparable with other languages. I think we must restrain ourself to adding this information to the entries belonging to the non-English words and in the translation section of the English entry. --Eivind (t) 14:17, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- You may very well be right that it would create a mess. I accept your edit, at least until I see other kind of practise materialise.--Event 09:24, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- You may want to discuss it with the community at the beer parlour – I haven't been around too long, so my words aren't exactly law when it comes to things like this ;) --Eivind (t) 09:51, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
