Italian plurals
[edit]You don't need to create Italian plurals. We have a bot that generates them automatically (if you use the {{it-noun}}
template). The same goes for adjectives and conjugated forms of verbs. SemperBlotto 15:38, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Wikifying languages' names
[edit]Hello. I've noticed you deleted the brackets around Catalan and Scottish Gaelic at the word gregarious. I suppose it was welll-meant, but the convention is that less well-known languages are always wikified in the Translations section, I presume so that people who don't know about these languages may easily find out (see this). Consequently, I put the two names back into brackets. --Duncan MacCall 21:05, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Translations
[edit]Hello there! I see that you like translating English words into Italian - both here, and on it.Wiktionary. You might like to look at Category:Tbot entries (Italian), Category:Translation requests (Italian) and Category:Translations to be checked (Italian). That last category has over a thousand entries - almost every one needing care to sort out different shades of meaning. SemperBlotto 08:55, 20 May 2009 (UTC) p.s. I have sent you a Wiki-email on another matter.
Sysophood
[edit]Following email discussion - please see Wiktionary:Votes/sy-2009-05/User:Diuturno for admin. You need to add a sentence confirming that you would accept the job. SemperBlotto 16:45, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- I think you are getting to understand why we need more sysops! SemperBlotto 17:31, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Welcome aboard. SemperBlotto 07:19, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Helping the bot
[edit]Hi there again. If you add an Italian section to an existing word (as as "saxofonista") the bot that generates plurals won't see it (and I often miss it as well). If you want, you can add such words to User:SemperBlottoBot/feedme. Cheers SemperBlotto 19:08, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, just wondering why you deleted this.—msh210℠ 22:35, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Sardo vs Sardegnolo
[edit]Scusa, ma in italiano Sardo *non* è sinonimo di sardignolo. Comunque, contento tu, contenti tutti, non ho intenzione di prendere a testate i muri. Ciao --Giancarlodessi 20:40, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- PS: se hai intenzione di rispondermi fallo nella mia talk su it.wiki, non credo che ritornerò da queste parti. Arriciao --Giancarlodessi 20:42, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Help on it:Wiktionary
[edit]Hi there. Over on it:Wiktionary, the User:SemperBlotto is not me. I am trying to get it renamed. But the -crat it:Utente:Wim b does not believe that I am me. Can you help? SemperBlotto 21:15, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- p.s. You will see many "contributions" from SemperBlotto - but they are the result of some silly person transferring lots of words from the English to Italian wikis, along with all their history. SemperBlotto 21:21, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've understood. I'll try to explain the situation to him --Diuturno 21:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Ciao Diuturno, mille grazie per aver inserito il template "rfp" nella voce acidity. Saluti. :-) --82.238.78.177 20:36, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Di nulla ;-) --Diuturno 09:56, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
I urge you to vote. (I don't know which way you'll vote, but I want more voices, especially English Wiktionarians' voices, heard in this vote.) If you've voted already, or stated that you won't, and I missed it, I apologize.—msh210℠ 17:00, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi Diuturno. The Italian entry for suffrutice currently states that it was formed in Italian by the combination of sub- + frutice; however, I suspect that it is in fact a descendant of the scientific Latin suffrutex, making it cognate with the English suffrutex and the Spanish sufrútice. Can you verify the word's etymology, either way? I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 13:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, the main source where I verify etymologies is the Italian dictionary Treccani. They states that it comes from suffrutex as you correctly suspect. You can modify the etymology this way. Hope it helps --Diuturno (talk) 18:31, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- It does help very much; thank you. Is this OK? I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 21:19, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
