Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Entries that need help

[edit]

Inserting specific templates can help speed the appropriate help to the needy entries. Following are some commonly used ones:

  1. {{rfc}} request for cleanup
  2. {{rfdef}} request for definition
  3. {{rfex}} request for usage example
  4. {{rfdate}} request for date, used for quotations with insufficient citation information.

There are others. DCDuring TALK 15:21, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The entries I said needed help just needed general help. Would I use {{rfc}} for that? April Regina 15:25, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
