P.S. I was wondering why you added Catalan and Spanish translations to galliot, but marked them as needing to be checked. Are you not sure if these are the correct words? —RuakhTALK 05:40, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problem. :-)   {{ttbc}} does color the language name, but that's not its main purpose; its main purpose is to add the entry to a maintenance category, e.g. Category:Translations to be checked (Spanish), so people can check periodically for words they can help with. —RuakhTALK 00:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Phrasal verbs

[edit]

The reason I changed the link was not the name of the category, but the scope. Our category Category:English phrasal verbs lists only phrasal verbs in English. The Catalan category you linked is not specific to English, so I linked it instead to Category:Phrasal verbs, which (like the Catalan category) is for all languages. --EncycloPetey 20:12, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

How do you know that it is English-specific? The Catalan category does not mention the language as English in its name and contains only a single entry. Based on the name, the general category is the correct link, as other categories on the Catalan Wiktionary name the language when they are language-specific. --EncycloPetey 20:28, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Then it is incorrectly named on the Catalan Wiktionary. Their category for English verbs is ca:Categoria:Verbs en anglès, not ca:Categoria:Verbs. For English adjectives its ca:Categoria:Adjectius en anglès, and not ca:Categoria:Adjectius or ca:Categoria:Adjectives. What happens if "phrasal verb" turns out to the a word in a language besides English? It sounds as thought he Catalan Wiktionary does not have an internally consistent naming scheme for their categories. --EncycloPetey 20:50, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. --EncycloPetey 15:44, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Template:ca-verb form of

[edit]

I was wondering whether that template was considered finished. It's only used by two entries at the present, and it doesn't seem to have all of the needed subtemplates. It also appears to have been incompletely adapted from Template:es-verb form of. Any complaints if I take a go at this? — Carolina wren discussió 17:29, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
