@Surjection: Might this have an idiomatic translation in Finnish? We're not supposed (for good reason) to put translation tables in foreign-language entries, but I bet this would help us spot more idioms - lexical gaps in English are blind spots, in a way. You can say hypätä asiasta toiseen or hyppiä asiasta toiseen (literally “jump/skip from one matter to another”), but there's not that much idiomaticity in that; even if it's a set phrase, it still feels sum-of-parts. — surjection ⟨?⟩ 21:34, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
