Incorrect Word Class?
[edit]I believe this entry is for a participle, not a verb. Rolf Åberg (talk) 20:03, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you, Hr @Rolf Åberg (and for your feedback)
- Admins @Mahagaja, Erutuon. In Greek, unlike in other languages, participles are lemmata de facto and de jure (Thrax) as 'powerful' part of speech 'kind', as adjective ὄνομα ἐπίθετον, similarly to the verbal adjectives are (ἀγαπητός (agapētós)). The participle is not inferior. Plus a verb form too. So are Modern Greek participles e.g. βοηθούμενος (voïthoúmenos). Thank you. ‑‑Sarri.greek ♫ I 05:58, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- We label participles with the ===Participle=== header, even though a case can be made for calling them verb forms. Granted, we aren't always very consistent about this, especially in English entries, but at least for Ancient Greek we can make the effort to ensure that participles are always labeled ===Participle===. —Mahāgaja · talk 07:54, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
