The origin of the Persian (bâk) is MP wāg/k. MP wāg/k attested in w:Denkard#Book_6 and w:Shāyest nē Shāyest: further etymology unknown (this is my source, p16).--Calak (talk) 14:39, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
