@Vahagn_Petrosyan: Any expansion on Armenian side of things? We have this:

• Georgian: ხვინჭი, ხუნჭი (xvinč̣i, xunč̣i, “pebble, grit”)
  • → Mingrelian: ხვინჭვი (xvinč̣vi, “pebble, gravel”)

• Mingrelian: ხინჭკი (xinč̣ḳi, “sharp pebble; small broken fragment”), ხვინჭკი, ხვინჭკა (xvinč̣ḳi, xvinč̣ḳa, “gravel”), ხვინჭკალი (xvinč̣ḳali, “small-toothed ← *pebble-toothed”), ხინჭკოლუა (xinč̣ḳolua, “to crush, pound”)
  • → Georgian: ხვინჭკი (xvinč̣ḳi, “grit”) (Racha), ხვინჭკა (xvinč̣ḳa, “gravel, pebble”) (Guria, Lechkhumi)

For Mingrelian seemingly regular -ჭკ- (-č̣ḳ-) (← -*ჭ- (-*č̣-)), possibly both derivable from Proto-Georgian-Zan *xunč̣-. Stranger one is ხიჭი (xič̣i).

@კვარია: the Armenian looks like a borrowing, based on the shape either Iranian or Kartvelian. If you like the Georgian–Zan reconstruction, create it. We can then derive the Armenian from Georgian–Zan. Vahag (talk) 21:03, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

I won't because Fahnrich's reconstruction doesn't take into account a lot of words and hence incorrect. My idea is *xunč̣- but I don't want to create a page without sources კვარია (talk) 21:07, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
