Proto-Permic

[edit]
Proto-Permic ordinal numbers
 <  2. 3. 4.  >
    Cardinal : *kwiń
    Ordinal : *kojmät

Reconstruction notes

[edit]
  • Most descendants have changed the stem analogically to the cardinal number. Komi-Zyrian mostly shows an archaic (irregular) form. It is possible that the original Proto-Permic form was *koľmät instead and the shift *-ľ- > *-j- is a Komi-specific change.

Etymology

[edit]

From earlier *koľmät, from *koľm- (three) +‎ *-ät.

Adjective

[edit]

*kojmät (stem *kojmätj-, plural predicative *kojmätjäś)
